Paulo Landscaping & Tree Removal started in 2004 with one pickup truck, one person, and a strong work ethic. Paulo began by taking on landscaping jobs throughout the local community and handling every part of the business himself.

As more customers began recommending the company to their friends, families, and neighbors, the business continued to grow. Paulo invested in more equipment, built a dependable team, and expanded the company’s services to take on larger and more complex projects.

Today, that one pickup truck has grown into a full fleet of specialized equipment and a family business trusted by homeowners, businesses, schools, healthcare facilities, and government clients across Connecticut. The photo of the company’s first truck is an important reminder of where it all began and how far the business has come.

Originally from Lisbon, Portugal, Paulo Cardoso moved to the United States at a young age after serving in the Portuguese military. He quickly discovered a passion for working outdoors and, in 2004, started Paulo Landscaping & Tree Removal with one pickup truck and a strong determination to succeed.

More than 20 years later, Paulo has grown the family business into one of Connecticut’s most trusted landscaping and tree service companies. He remains closely involved in daily operations and takes pride in supporting his employees, building lasting customer relationships, and making sure every job is completed safely and professionally.

Outside of work, Paulo enjoys boating, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.

A graduate of Bryant University with a degree in Project Management, Paul grew up around the family business and saw firsthand the hard work and dedication that went into building it. After working alongside the team for several years, he discovered how much he enjoyed the industry and knew he wanted to take on a larger role in the company’s future.

Paul helps oversee daily operations, coordinate projects, and build strong relationships with customers. He is proud to continue the family tradition while bringing new ideas that support the company’s continued growth.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys playing sports, jet skiing, and spending time with friends.
